We are looking to recruit a part time Administrative Assistant to carry out a wide range of office duties including preparing and distributing correspondence and paperwork for meetings, dealing with telephone and in person enquiries, processing mail, filing and maintaining the membership database. Previous experience of using the full Microsoft Office package is essential.
In addition to having previous administrative experience, the successful candidate will also have experience of dealing confidently with the public (sometimes as a first point of contact) and will be able demonstrate good communication skills. Good attention to detail is very important. An ability to pick up new skills quickly and a willingness to keep pace with any new technology/ways of working and communicating digitally is desirable.
For this role, you do not have to have a trade union background, but you do need to have an understanding and sympathy with the aims and values of the trade union movement.
Hours: 20 per week, working daily Monday-Friday
